The Augmented Paafu Mat is a projection-based mixed reality installation on loan to the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, Dec 2021 - April 2022 for the 10th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT10).

The installation pairs a beautifully crafted model outrigger canoe and traditional straw mat crafted by Micronesian artists, Susi Kauka, Sienna Emwalu, Phillipy Emwalu, Dickson Emwalu with projected computer graphics that reflect the stars and swells used within the Paafu navigation system.
